Uchenna’s Our Mighty Groove Wins Best Dance Production at the Black British Theatre Awards 2025!

Uprise Rebel is delighted to share that Uchenna and Sadler’s Wells’ Our Mighty Groove won the award for Best Dance Production at the 2025 Black British Theatre Awards, held at London’s Piccadilly Theatre.

The award was accepted on the night by Artistic Director Vicki Igbokwe-Ozoagu and OMG Performer Shanelle Clemenson, with Uprise Rebel & Uchenna’s Marketing & Communications Manager, Georgia Gerson, also in attendance to celebrate this incredible achievement.

This recognition is a testament to the artistry and dedication behind Our Mighty Groove, aan unapologetically bold, empowering and ground-breaking production that redefines what dance theatre can be.
