Are you a new dance or performing arts graduate or emerging artist looking for expert advice to take your next career step? Perhaps you’re a young dancer who hasn’t taken formal training but would like to know how to break into the sector? If so, then South East Dance’s upcoming Mind The Gap event has been specifically created for you!

Mind The Gap 2023 will be a live (in person), jam-packed day full of talks and interactive sessions from industry professionals including a diverse range of dance artists, producers and theatre makers sharing their experience, knowledge and reflections of working in the arts.

As part of the day’s programme, Uprise Rebel Founder, Grace Okereke, will be delivering a talk on ‘The Meaning of Producing’. This talk explores the role of a dance producer, how arts administration works and the various routes into the sector.
