Senegal is preparing to host the Biennale of Dance in Africa from April 29 to May 3, 2026. Alleyne Dance’s A Night’s Game will be included in the programme.
Inspired by true life events, Alleyne Dance’s production, A Night’s Game is a dark, atmospheric and abstract work that reflects the turmoil and strife of human emotion when faced with the prospect of incarceration. Explore the minds journey as the contemplation of the loss of freedom engulfs every waking moment.
Within the innovative setting of the École des Sables and its surroundings, the program will reflect the concerns expressed by choreographers, dancers, and professionals in the field. This edition will showcase 25 contemporary dance companies, including 10 from Senegal, with an official opening celebrating International Dance Day.
